From 8th to 11th August 2019, Latvian skiing center of Madona for the
first time will host a new edition of the FIS Rollerski World Championships, gathering more
than 160 participants from 15 countries.
The biggest names coming from Russian team – triple Olympic silver medalist from 2018 and four silver medal winner at his year World championships in Seefeld Alexander Bolshunov, Olympic champion from Turino games 2006 in skiathlon and silver medalist in 50km Eugeniy Dementiev, two bronze medal winner in Seefeld World championships Natalia Nepryaeva and silver medalist in Olympic games relay Alexey Chervotkin.
Besides four Russians, mentioned earlier, in Madona we will see also some other titled athletes. Among them it is worth to mention several World cup sprint event podium place winner Slovakian Alena Prochazkova, triple World champion in rollerskiing sprint Italian Alessio Berlanda, triple World champion in rollerskiing team sprint and one individual sprint Ragnar Bragvin Andresen from Norway and five times World champion in rollerskiing and finalist of World cup cross country skiing sprint Linn Soemskar from Sweden.

Madona has hosted four summer’s World cup in rollerskiing,
but this year will be special, because for the first time World
championships has been awarded to Latvian skiing center Madona.
